TAROT
Of all the disciplines that Reyla practices, Tarot is the one that does not have its roots in antiquity. Dating back only to the early 15th century, the roots are in the culture of Medieval and Renaissance Europe. Most tarot subjects are distinctive to European Christendom. And contrary to commonly held belief, the regular 52 card deck did not develop from tarot but the other way around, playing cards having come to Europe through Islam, most likely through Muslim Spain in the mid 14th century. Tarot was not originally used for divination, magic, or teaching secret doctrines but was instead used in a card game similar to bridge. The first conclusive use of tarot for divination is recorded in Bologna, Italy in the early 17th century.
Tarot is a powerful tool for gaining insight into your self and your life. As with many techniques that are used for self-improvement, the Tarot has benefits and limitations.
